Greetings Sego Lily Roadrunners!
As the newly elected PTA president, I would like to welcome
new and returning students and families to Sego Lily Elementary School. I know
we will have a great year because of the dedicated and amazing volunteers we
have on the PTA.
The purpose of the PTA is to first and foremost support our
students. In addition, we support our faculty, staff, parents, and local
community. “Every Child - One Voice” is
the National PTA motto, and the PTA is one of the strongest voices in the
educational process that directly supports our children and school.
To make our PTA effective and successful we need the support
and involvement of the parents of our students! Your first opportunity to show
support is to become a PTA member of the Sego Lily Roadrunners PTA. We encourage
each of you to show your commitment by joining the PTA at Back to School Night
August 17th.
The second way to show support is by participating in the
numerous programs and events we have planned throughout the year. Whatever
level of participation you choose, your time and involvement will be greatly
appreciated. Whether you have 30 minutes, or a couple hours to donate - your
ideas, time, and talent are truly needed. You really can make a difference in
the lives of all our children!
I encourage you to stay informed of our upcoming events, as
well as the goings-on of our school by following Sego Lily PTA on Facebook,
Twitter, and Instagram, and by attending our monthly meetings. Our PTA meetings
are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 9:30 A.M. in the teachers’
lounge. We will also hold three evening meetings throughout the year. The first
evening meeting will be held August 26th at 7:00 P.M. in the school lunch room.
We invite all parents to attend our meetings, but you must
be a PTA member to vote on any issues.
Our meetings are informal, and younger children are always welcome.
